Alessandro Marega is the winner of the International Finn Cup 2024 and the 21st A. Menoni Trophy
Great attendance at the 2024 edition of the Finn Cup
The 44th edition of the International Finn Cup and the 21st “Andrea Menoni” Trophy ended in Malcesine, with 60 athletes from 11 nations on the starting line. The traditional Finn class event at Fraglia Vela Malcesine is confirmed as an unmissable event for the former Olympic class!

The first day of racing began with an afternoon Peler of around 15 knots, which allowed two good races to be held. Alessandro Marega of the Società Vela Oscar Cosulich takes the top spot, followed by the Austrian Florian Raudaschl. The German André Budzien closes the provisional podium.
Upon returning from the races, the competitors were able to enjoy an aperitif sponsored by Cantine Tinazzi!
Two races were completed with a light Ora on the second day as well, with overcast skies and difficult wind conditions. Despite the takeover of the discard, the first two positions remain unchanged compared to the first day. The Dutch Peter Peet climbs the rankings and takes third place.
Bruschetta with patés and olives from Redoro Frantoi Veneti and Stiegl beers at the end of the long second day of racing!

The difficult weather conditions were also the protagonists of the last day of the race, with nothing done for the 60 Finn registered sailors.
The Race Committee therefore managed to have the competitors complete four of the six scheduled tests. The ranking remained unchanged compared to the previous day, with Alessandro Marega (Società Vela Oscar Cosulich) proclaiming himself the winner of the 44th International Finn Cup and also of the 21st A. Menoni Trophy. The Austrian Florian Raudaschl consolidated his second position, while the Dutch Peter Peet closed the race in third position.
A heartfelt thanks to Nicola Menoni for the constant organizational support and to the Sponsors of the event, Negrinautica, HellyHansen, Kevlove, Redoro Frantoi Veneti, Stiegl Bier and Cantine Tinazzi.
