Fraglia Vela di Malcesine
Welcome to the house of Lake Garda wind
Fraglia Vela Malcesine is located on the northeastern shore of Lake Garda, in the locality of Navene, four kilometers north of Malcesine: a prime location for training, racing, or learning to sail with the renowned Garda winds.
Fraglia Vela: From North to South
To the north lies the port area, which includes the 240 berths of Marina Navene, the fuel station, the crane area for launching and hauling boats, and the zone dedicated to specialized companies for routine boat maintenance.
Between the port and the main building is the central yard, used for storing dinghies and boats hosted during training sessions and regattas. This area is serviced by a large concrete launching ramp.
The building, discreetly concealed under a green roof of natural grass, houses a bar and restaurant, offices, classrooms of the Fraglia Vela Malcesine, and the FVM Gym, stretching from north to south.
To the south are the spaces dedicated to the Sailing School and the FVM Water Center rental facility, the second storage yard, and access to the floating docks for regattas, guests, and temporary berths.
“Step by step, we’ve managed to gift the Malcesine community a structure of immense architectural, tourist, sports, and economic value.”
Gianni Testa
Marina Navene

Located in the natural bay of Navene, near the small village, Marina Navene lies in the northern area of Fraglia.
It enjoys a favorable position, sheltered from the winds by the headlands of Navene and Campagnola.
Inside the harbor, both sailboats and motorboats are moored, as motor navigation is permitted within the Veneto region’s territorial waters of Lake Garda.
Headquarter

Through the large dome of the main entrance, you enter the Clubhouse.
Inside, you’ll find the Secretary/Race Office and the classrooms.
Four rooms are available for the sailing school, as well as for the Race/Jury Committee and media press during regattas.
A larger room, with a capacity of up to one hundred people, can host events, meetings, board sessions, and trade exhibitions.
Outside, adjacent to the main entrance, are two spacious changing rooms downstairs, equipped with showers and toilets.
South harbour

The southern harbor consists of two floating piers that can accommodate up to 90 boats, each up to 10 meters in length.
During race days, it is designated for the mooring of monotypes and coach RIBs. At other times, it serves as a temporary mooring space (daily or weekly) for cabin sailboats and rubber boats during holidays in Malcesine.
Car Park
The car park, available for Fraglia Vela Malcesine and Marina Navene users, offers 120 parking spaces: 60 outdoor spaces on the top level and 60 covered spaces in the north and south garages.
Fully automated, the car park is open 24 hours a day at a cost of €1 per hour, with the first half-hour free.
During regatta days, the car park may be entirely reserved for sailors and guests.
Opening hours
We are open all year long.
The opening hours of the Club House and Secretary Office is:
