Malcesine, 10 October 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The second day of racing at the 2.4mR World Championship<\/strong> delivered even lighter Ora winds than on the opening day, setting the stage for another technically demanding afternoon on Lake Garda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the delicate conditions, the Race Committee successfully completed three races, putting sailors\u2019 tactical and trimming skills to the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the day, Italian sailor Davide Di Maria<\/strong> highlighted the high level of competition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe level of the sailors is very high, and in these tricky light conditions, you can really see who\u2019s good and who the true champions are.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the first day of racing, Jeffrey Linton (USA 160)<\/strong> leads the overall standings, followed by Megan Pascoe (GBR 173)<\/strong> in second place and Frank Huth (NOR 149)<\/strong> in third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again, the event welcomed ULSS9 Scaligera aboard Siora Veronica<\/em>, together with another enthusiastic group of guests. The collaboration underscores the Championship\u2019s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement, values that are deeply embedded in the event\u2019s spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special acknowledgment goes to MAN Truck & Bus<\/strong> for supporting the organization with a dedicated van \u2014 affectionately known as \u201cthe MAN, not the VAN\u201d \u2014 which plays a key role in ensuring smooth logistics throughout the Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evening, sailors and teams gathered together at Speck Stube<\/strong> in Malcesine to celebrate the Worlds with local specialties, great company, and fresh beer \u2014 a perfect opportunity to relax after another exciting day on the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow\u2019s program foresees the first start at 1:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
