31st EDITION OF THE TROFEO SIMONE LOMBARDI 2025

Malcesine, 14 August 2025 – A total of 379 boats from 29 nations lined up at the start for the 31st edition of the Trofeo Simone Lombardi 2025, held from August 12 to 14 at Fraglia Vela Malcesine.
The event was supported by main sponsors Falconeri, Cassa Rurale Alto Garda Rovereto, Funivie del Baldo, Eurospar/Despar, Sammontana, Stiegl, Redoro Frantoi Veneti, and technical sponsors Negrinautica, Helly Hansen, One Sails, Fotomercato Verona, and Armare Ropes.

Racing Highlights

Day One opened with perfect “Ora” wind conditions, allowing the four fleets of Division A (Juniores) and the Division B (Cadetti) fleet to complete two races each. With three wins out of three, Turkish sailor Eren Kaan Erendemir took the lead in Division A, followed by Cristian Castellan (Società Triestina Sport del Mare) and French sailor Louis Henry (CN Rennes). In Division B, the French Noè Chateu (CN Rennes) claimed the top spot.

Day Two saw a steadier Ora breeze, enabling each fleet to complete three races.
In Division A, Cristian Castellan moved into the lead, followed by American Briggs Kossmann, with French sailor Elliot Novara climbing to third place. In Division B, Noè Chateu retained the top position.
After racing, sailors and coaches took part in the eagerly awaited prize draw offered by the event sponsors. The Optimist boat was won by local sailor Pietro Lombardi (Fraglia Vela Malcesine).

Day Three was marked by very light Ora conditions, allowing only one decisive race for the Gold Fleet. The Silver, Bronze, Emerald, and Cadetti fleets were sent back ashore after one attempt.
At the end of the regatta, Elliot Novara climbed from third place to win Division A, followed by Louis Henry (CN Rennes) and Cristian Castellan (Società Triestina Sport del Mare). For the second year in a row, Irene Faini (Centro Nautico Bardolino) was the top female sailor in Division A.

In Division B, Noè Chateu (CVSAE) dominated from start to finish, ahead of Konstancja Pajak (Dubai Offshore Sailing Club) and Maia Buompane (Fraglia della Vela – Peschiera del Garda). The women’s title went to Konstancja Pajak. Thanks to the excellent results of Martelli, Faini, and Veronesi, Centro Nautico Bardolino secured victory in the Trofeo Simone Lombardi 2025.
