The Northern end of Lake Garda is the ideal environment to learn and improve your sailing at all levels.
Situated in the village of Navene, 4kms north of Malcesine, is the site of the nearly completed, new and improved Malcesine Sailing Club.
Amongst the oldest of the sailing clubs on the Lake we have always counted amongst our members many Olympic competitors and World and European champions such as, Flavio Scala, Mauro Testa, Roberto Benamati (ex world champion in the ‘Star Class) Michele Marchesini (involved in the current Olympic campaign for Peking in 2008) and Albino Fravezzi, European champion in the ‘Star Class’ and this year’s flag bearer in the Class for our club.
If you visit our base it is rare not to rub shoulders with sailors from all over the world who are involved either in race training, or who are here to participate in many of the regattas featured in our racing calendar. A famous example of this is Russell Coutts who has chosen the Fraglia Vela Malcesine to organise a round of the international RC44 races series.

Our Courses for adults are aimed specifically at those wishing to experience for the first time the wonderful sport of sailing. The main aim of the courses is with the minimum amount of theory and maximum time on the water to equip our pupils for all eventualities which may arise when they first venture out on the water by themselves. The emphasis is very much on fun and learning whether it be in a sailboat on a windsurfer or on a fast and exciting catamaran.
You can decide to join four or five others on one of our structured courses which can last from two to five days (four hours per day) or you can elect to take a course tailored to the individual needs of you and your family.
All ages are welcome and the course fee includes all the equipment you may require including acqua shoes, wetsuits and lifejackets.
If you are already a competent sailor we can introduce you to the art of skiff sailing using asymmetric Jennakers and trapezes to maximise your speed.
Special race training can also be arranged with experts in the class you are particularly interested in.
Sailing is a wonderful healthy sport for everyone and we look forward to receiving you at the Fraglia Vela Malcesine for the experience of a lifetime.

• Topaz Xenon - Skiff for introduction to jennaker, trapeze and racing.
• Hobie 15 and 18 - Catamaran courses
• Topaz 16C and 16CX – Catamaran courses and racing
